Kayla Schroder, DVM

Dr. Schroder grew up in New Port Richey, Florida. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Florida before graduating from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2023. Before veterinary school, Dr. Schroder worked at Animal and Bird Medical Center of Palm Harbor where she found her love for avian and exotic animal medicine and surgery. During veterinary school, she focused her studies on avian, reptile, and small mammal medicine, volunteered in a wildlife hospital, and conducted research to assist in the conservation efforts of Illinois’ endangered turtles. Dr. Schroder’s special interests include soft tissue surgery and internal medicine in dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, and small mammals. 
 
When she is not practicing medicine, she enjoys spending time in nature with her husband, Nick, and their miniature poodle.
